The Airdrie Food Bank team comprises a dedicated group of staff who work together to support the organization's mission of providing food support to those in need in the Airdrie community.
Our team is committed to providing essential services to those in need with empathy and respect, working collaboratively to impact the community positively.
Executive Director
Lori Mcritchie
Lori McRitchie has been an integral part of the Airdrie community since 1981, working for Rockyview School Division in Airdrie schools for many years before becoming Director of the R.J. Hawkey Breakfast Program in 1998. She assumed the role of Executive Director of the Airdrie Food Bank in 2006, overseeing its growth from a grassroots organization to a respected mid-sized agency that continues to meet the community's growing needs.
In recognition of her tireless work, Lori received numerous awards, including the Amazing Airdrie Women Leadership Award and Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012, as well as the "Best Citizen" award in 2014 for her efforts in bringing the community together and advocating for those in need of food support. As Vice Chair of the provincial association "Alberta Food Banks," Lori also supports other food banks across the province.
Lori is happily married to Greg, has three grown children, and is a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren.
Marketing and Communications Manager
Christine taylor
As a highly motivated and innovative Senior Marketing and Communications Specialist, Christine brings over 27 years of experience in marketing, communications, and design across various corporate, self-employed, and non-profit organizations.
As an experienced IT and communications professional, she honed her skills in both areas as a former IT Communications Advisor at a large Oil and Gas company. She also has 15 years of experience in social media marketing, which she successfully utilized to grow her business in the Airdrie Community.
Christine is passionate about community engagement and helping others, so she is thrilled to work with Airdrie Food Bank. Her dedication to serving the community is evident in her work supporting those in need, and she is also committed to promoting Inclusion and Reconciliation.
In her free time, Christine enjoys spending time with her two children and their dogs, Lucy and Dexter. She also enjoys painting, reading, and listening to podcasts and British TV shows.
Intake Manager
jennifer williamson
Jenn hails from London, Ontario, and has recently made Airdrie her new home, along with her husband, Easher, and their cherished feline companions, Phoebe and Tigger. Her educational journey led her to a Bachelor's Degree at Dalhousie University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Windsor.
With a remarkable 14 years of experience in the non-profit sector, primarily focusing on settlement services, Jenn has dedicated herself to making a positive impact on the lives of others. When she's not working, you'll often find her in the kitchen, exploring hiking trails, indulging in British true crime series, or trying her hand at pickleball.
Jenn is eager to embrace Alberta as her new home and is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the Airdrie Food Bank and its vibrant community.

Terry has built hearts, minds, relationships, community connections, facilities and organizations as a friend, husband, father, educator, business manager and consultant.
His education includes a BSc., BEd. and Masters in Professional Development, but most importantly, lessons in life.
Terry was drawn to the Foodbank in retirement, energized by the dynamic group of volunteers and powerful staff committed to helping their neighbours.

danielle domshy
Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
She has been living in Airdrie since 1991, raising her family with her husband in this city she now calls home.
Prior to joining the food bank, Danielle spent 16 years working as an Educational Assistant in Rockyview Schools and also worked for 7 years at the Royal Bank.
Her passion for caring for the growth and well-being of individuals has always been a driving force in her career.
When she's not working, Danielle enjoys staying active through waterskiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, walking, hiking, running, and biking. She also plays the piano, enjoys cooking and baking, and is passionate about nutrition.

Meghan West
Meghan joined our team as Community Kitchen Coordinator in fall 2016 and quickly fell in love with developing and growing our kitchen programs. Over time, her role expanded to managing the community kitchen, volunteer program, and school nutrition programs.
Meghan holds a B.A. and Sc in Nutrition from the University of Guelph and a Masters of Education from the University of Victoria. With her background in the non-profit sector, she values collaboration and creativity in creating opportunities for all to find joy and comfort in the community through sharing food and skills.
Growing up in northern Ontario, Meghan developed a love for the outdoors and led canoe trips for many summers. She has since become an avid backcountry skier and enjoys exploring new routes and trails. She enjoys curling up with a bowl of kettle chips in her downtime to watch a BBC mystery.
Volunteer Manager

After moving to Canada from the United Kingdom, Abigail volunteered at the food bank before becoming a permanent staff member. She felt passionate about their work to support the community and families they serve. Abigail joined the Food Bank Team in the Summer of 2022, initially in the role of Pantry Coordinator and then took on the role of Volunteer Manager.
In the United Kingdom, Abigail has been working in the Education sector for over eight years; her last role was as a Deputy Principal of a Primary School in London.
Abigail has a degree in Sociology and a Master's in Teaching/Education and taught pupils from 2-11. She enjoyed getting to explore a new place.
She enjoys taking time with her husband and two Labradors in her spare time to explore the outdoors.

Robert Hughes is the dedicated Warehouse Manager at the Airdrie Food Bank. With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He began his journey with the food bank as a volunteer, and through his hard work and commitment, he advanced to his current position. Passionate about serving the community, Robert values the personal interactions he has with those in need and is deeply committed to making a positive impact. In his free time, he loves the outdoors and enjoys spending time with his wife of over 34 years.

Caren was born and raised in Zimbabwe and migrated to Canada as a student. She has lived in Airdrie for the past five years, counting many more ahead. Caren has experience working in senior homes as a front desk admin, where she enjoyed being there for our senior citizens.
Caren is passionate about serving her community, especially those in need, and looks forward to making a positive impact at the Food Bank.
Caren is a twin mom, and they keep her busy all time. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and reading.
Administrative Assistant
Olha Kuzmenko
Olha is the Administrative Assistant at Airdrie Food Bank, bringing a unique blend of skills and experience to the team. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English Translation and Philology and gained office administrative experience while studying at university. Passionate about numbers, organizing, and details, Olha ensures smooth administrative processes at AFB.
After moving to Canada in November 2022, Olha worked as an Administrative Assistant for 1.5 years, expanding her knowledge in bookkeeping and financial management through various courses. She joined the AFB team in July 2024, driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and finding great satisfaction in her role.
Olha values helping others and has a strong background in volunteering. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and reading, which allow her to explore new places and stay active. Her dedication to continuous learning and love for adventure keep her motivated and engaged both professionally and personally.
